what a nice surprise...

I found out today that my blog is featured over on Todays Creative Blog. Thanks Kim for mentioning me! That is a great place to find inspiration from so many others out there in blogland. I visit her blog on a regular basis. So, if you are visiting me from her blog, welcome to becoming home. And if you have a moment leave a comment, I would love to hear from you.

I love sharing ideas that I have come up with on my own or gathered from various locations. Today, upon finding out Kim mentioned me, I felt a little panicked, like I needed to share everything at once. I felt the need to run around me house, which by the way is a huge mess, and take photos of everything I wanted to share. That, however, did not happen because I am at home solo with the girls tonight. Plus, if I posted everything at once, then I wouldn't have a reason for you to come back and visit.

The other day I mentioned I had some cute gift ideas for kids, from my sisters-in-law, who by the way are the best.

The first gift idea I want to share is what Janee made for Emma for her 3rd birthday this summer. Janee is an actress and has spent the last few years sharing her talents with the Barter Theater in Virginia.

She made this adorable set of counting cards using scrapbook supplies and buttons. Aren't they fun! I love the colors!

The next gift idea comes from my other sister in law, Kelly. She is also super talented and made the awesome cake seen in a previous post, as well as this gift for Stella. Stella enjoys dressing up, so they gave her this hat box full of hats to try on. How fun!

Thanks for visiting. Now I must go fold all the laundry covering the sofa.

just found the blog via creative blogs, and immediately added you to my bloglines.

my son is turning 1 in a few weeks - you had an adorable birthday party for stella, hope i can 'steal' some of your ideas.

And I love the name Stella. It is my grandma's name. If we had a little girl, i wanted to name her stella.

Now i'm off to read through all your old posts. thanks for taking the time to share your creations with the 'world'...

Hi there, as another featured "creative blogger" from a few weeks back, I wanted to stop in and congratulate you! I related to your feelings, however I must say that I am always caught unaware, usually talking about how I drive a mini-van and don't get manicures on the days that the super creative folks stop in.

But, that is the beauty of blogs for those of us who are real people. We have laundry, we aren't always glamorous and all of our ideas don't come spewing out every day. Real people know this and don't expect to see it all at once.

Relax! You have a lovely blog, are super creative, and you will have tons of new visitors. Many of whom will become regulars! No pressure, really, you will do great!
