toothbrushes

We got the girls new toothbrushes a few weeks ago. In my quest to save money, I tried to avoid the "fancy", twice as expensive ones (really, who needs Hello Kitty, Dora or Barbie on their dental hygiene utensils?).

So I purchased the cheapies: 5 to a pack, no-name brand. But lo, and behold! These toothbrushes are fancy: they stick to the wall! To my surprise, the cheap-o toothbrushes come equipped with suction cup bottoms.

Each night, before the toothpaste is applied, the girls stick their toothbrushes to the wall. And then, we wait, wondering "how high can we count before the toothbrush falls". The current record: 12.

So the next time you need to pick up some new toothbrushes, buy cheapies, they're good for a lot more fun.

Valentine's Day

How was your Valentine's Day? Ours was very low key, Emma had a mild stomach bug. So she watched lots of Barefoot Contessa with a bucket right in front of her-just in case she needed it, which she did. Thankfully, she is doing much better and the rest of us don't have it.

J brought some flowers for all of his Valentines.



It's always fun to hang hearts around the house.


I found a little activity for all those conversation hearts you receive. The girls really liked this. You print of the graph here. And give them a bowl full of those chalky and not quite so tasty treats to find out how many of each color they got in their box.
