Merry Christmas!

This morning we are sipping hot coffee and sitting in the living room on this cold morning. We are looking forward to our church's Christmas Eve service tonight.

I have made three attempts at the mantle this year and I think the third time is the keeper.

I thought I would share a little bit of our home with you this morning.

Today I will finish making my nephew's gift, we will wrap presents and stuff the stockings.

Tomorrow we will celebrate Christmas for the last time in our cottage ( Jeremy is headed to seminary full time). I will make this breakfast casserole, cinnamon roles and orange julius. Then we will join our friends for a fabulous lunch. I can't wait! Tomorrow is going to be fantastic!

around their room

I will post pictures of the rest of our decorations and share them with you...hopefully I can take photos this weekend.

We had a Emma's first choir concert last night, family came in town to watch and tonight is our small group Christmas party. I still need to figure out what to take. Something chocolatey sounds good.

Today's agenda...

-purchase silver martha stewart glitter ( I LOVE her glitter)

-finish decorating the Christmas tree

all the females in the family

-teach the girls day 3 of our "w" unit

-take Emma to dance

one of his favorite spots

-snuggle this little guy who is super congested, poor thing.

Do you think I can do it all?  I am thinking at the rate things are going, it is highly unlikely.

p.s. thanks for your sweet comments on the last post!

crafting

Amidst, the nursing, burping and diaper changing I have managed to get in a little crafting. It is has been a long time since I have made so many things...the long break could explain why I am so behind on wedding, baby and birthday gifts.

I ordered a kit to make these lovelies. I saw pumpkins like these last year, already made. It was so fun putting these together and a lot easier than I thought.

This is a super easy craft to do with your kids. All you need is a roll of toilet paper, a brown paper bag, a strip of green fabric and a 20" sqaure of fabric.

Here are some instructions.

And there has been lots of crafting for the Christmas tree.

Our color scheme this year is turquoise, white, silver and red.

I found this tutorial to make this starburst, mine still needs to be glittered. It will be our tree topper this year.

And some red bird ornaments waiting to be glittered.

A couple of other tutorials I am using to make decorations can be found here:
