I discovered these websites a few weeks ago.
The first one is for a contract designer for Potterbarn Kids, she also sells her own items: purses, handbags, stuffed owls. All very cute and inspiring.

This next website is for a designer that embellishes shirts and skirts that are so cute, very anthropologie looking.

AEZine Challenge
My Essential Tools . . .
Paper, Metal Ruler, Letter Stamps, Ink, Pen, Pencil, Knife, Fiskers Scissors, Scotch Glue, and of course Ali's book.
In honor of this being my first AEZine challenge I thought I would post some pics of when we met. Here I am with Ali back in September when she came to my scrapbook store here in Waco. It was so much fun. The first picture where we are talking and I am standing because I was having contractions and needed to move around to work through them. They were so irregular that I didn't think it was the real deal. I left after class barely able to walk b/c my contractions were becoming so intense. I literally had Stella an hour and 15 minutes later after my favorite photos class, at home, on the floor in the bathroom b/c we did not make it to the hospital in time.... you can read more about it on our family's blog. I definitely recommend scrapbooking while in labor. Ali, we will have to work something out the next time I am pregnant. I will definitely need to make another minibook in between contractions.

life right now...
So we have been couped up in our house since Sunday afternoon. I like that we do not have to get out in this cold yucky weather, but I think we are all suffering from cabin fever. Emma (2 1/2) has soooo much energy today. I tried putting her down for a nap but was unsuccessful. I feel like I have no direction today with the girls and with the house. I know there are things to do but I can't seem to focus on anything and I feel so impatient with the girls. Thankfully Jeremy will get to be home tonight b/c all the activities at church were cancelled.

This week I did get to finish my first layout for my online scrapbooking class with Hiedi Swapp. I love this class and so excited it is every week for a whole year! My goal for the class is to catch up on my girls baby books before their next birthday. That means Emma's needs to be done by June 3 and Stella's by September 16. We are supposed to be getting a package in the mail for the class soon. So excited, I am always up for a good mail day.

my creative space
I spent the first few days of the new year organizing Emma's craft cabinet and my craft armoire. They were both very disorganized. And, yes, I am behind in laundry, house work among other things, but first things first, right? My craft space is located in our dining room. My armoire is a computer armoire from Ikea ( picture to the left). We painted it, added crown moulding and I sewed some curtains for the windows( see pic below). I love it because it is so flexible and I can hide everything when it is time to eat dinner. I also included a picture of the inside so you can see how I have it organized. My goal for this year, is to keep this space functional so I can work on projects whenever I need too. My other goal is to do finish at least one scrapbook layout a week, or more if possible.
